We will honor the strength, resilience, and courage of those who have battled addiction and are survivors. We will also solemnly remember and pay tribute to those who tragically lost their lives to addiction at opening ceremony with a prayer for addiction survivors and support for the families who lost their loved one.
SPEAKERS Start @ 1:00PM
Fire Chief Chase Pearson
Fire Chief Chase will discuss Narcan (Naloxone), which is a nasal spray administered to an Opioid Overdose Victim. He will explain why it is important to have it on hand, how to know if a victim is overdosing, how to use it, how to get it and his experience with Narcan as Williams Fire Chief. It's important to know that anyone can administer Narcan to someone that is overdosing because they will be protected with the "Good Samaritan AZ Laws".
Everyone has the power to save a life!
Thank You Chief Chase
M.A.D.D. Representative & Victim
When it comes to sharing stories of people whose lives have been affected by drunk driving, nothing can convey the heartbreak more than the words of a mother who has lost a child. We will hear from one of those Mother's who will share her story. They will also deliver information on available assistance in our community. Drunk and Drugged Driving is a 100% preventable crime.
That is something to think about!
Thank You M.A.D.D.
Tom & Shannon West
Our Veteran Community suffers 22+ Suicides each day along with homelessness and constant struggle adapting to civilian life. Tom & Shannon will share their story on how they assist our beloved Veterans with a 6 month program called Transition: Outside The Wire.
They will also share their personal testimony regarding the passing of their son to addiction. God Love You Both!
Thank You Tom & Shannon
